Ever Loved and HonestFarewell aren't really rivals. Ever Loved is mainly for remembering someone: a memorial website, a fundraiser. HonestFarewell is for the arrangements: what funeral homes charge, and how to choose.

Which to use
Many families use both kinds of site: one for the memorial, one to compare funeral prices. If you're choosing a funeral home, start with the prices. If you're sharing memories or raising money, a memorial site is the right tool.
How HonestFarewell works, for both sides. Families get checked prices, guides and a planner for free. Funeral homes can claim their listing for free, and once we've checked a claim, requests from up to 5 families a month come straight to that home.
Paid listings are labelled "Sponsored". We never charge a home for a family's request, and no payment changes a home's prices or where it ranks. Our Advertiser Disclosure (opens in a new tab) explains it in full.
