Many families arrange a funeral within days of a death, often without seeing a single price in advance. Funeral homes must publish a General Price List, but few families ever get to compare them. HonestFarewell puts those lists side by side, so you can.
What we do
- Compare prices for the same funeral or cremation package at every home in an area, taken from each home's own price list and dated.
- Show each home's license status from the state funeral board.
- Explain the rules that apply where you live, each with its statute.
- List probate and estate law firms with an attorney on the state bar roster.

Independence and ownership
We're not owned by a funeral group, a cemetery group or an insurer, and no provider has a say in what we publish. HonestFarewell is privately owned. It is part of the HonestReviews group of sites, alongside HonestReviews, all run by Honest Reviews Tech LLC.
How we are funded
HonestFarewell is free for families. We earn money from funeral homes and law firms that pay a flat fee for a Premium listing and labeled sponsored placements, and from some links that may pay us when you click them or buy through them.
