Naming a disposition agent

Oklahoma expressly recognizes a person's right to direct how their body will be disposed of after death and allows a person to assign that right by sworn affidavit. The statute also recognizes federal military disposition designations and makes knowingly failing to follow qualifying directions a misdemeanor. A written designation can be much more useful than leaving relatives to work out who should decide after death.
